Shell Smudging
Shell Smudging
Have you ever been to a memorial service Native Americans?
One of the most moving sights I have ever attended a deceased person was a Native American one. There was a fabulous speech in its tradition of honoring the dead, and that "tainted" the circle with sage burning out in a tank. It far surpassed regular funerals I have attended. Have you ever attended any ceremony held by Native Americans?
Yes, I have attended many. Most of them my family. I come from Lakota (Standing Rock Sioux), Creek (Muscogee Creek Nation of Oklahoma and Tribal Peoples), Karuk and some bloodlines of others, I wonder how many funerals have been compared with my hvtke this / wasichu / white friends of the same age.
