I have some things gritty sand in my left eye at work, this sandy material came from a roof?
I had removed a / c unit was suspended of a roof. My left eye has "deep scratches," according to a doctor and burns, it hurts. How long does it take for the scratches to heal and stop hurting and my eye heal and return to normal good health? I "ll be sure to wear safety glasses from now. It hurts to open my left eye. Real Bummer. In addition, red left eye as can be. Thank you very much for telling me what to expect.
It sounds as though the sand may have scratched his cornea. The good news is that the cornea usually heals very quickly (as little AS12-24 hours) if no further trauma. The blinking action may exacerbate the scratches however, so if possible, keep your eye closed (have an early night maybe!) Close your eyes and cover with a clean gauze patch for a few hours or overnight can help! Good luck.
